This list should be read with a copy of OBL6 where the used abbreviations are explained. Scientific names are given only for species new to the Oman Bird List. All records have been approved by the Oman Bird Records Committee (OBRC). The total number of accepted species in Oman now stands at 501 excluding species considered escapes unless these have established sustainable, feral populations.
